Through A Thousand Glowing Wires

Well, the big date is almost upon us. February 21st, 2012 will see the release of our second full-length, It’s Going To Be A Nice Day. We will be hosting a release show on Friday, February 24th at The Loft in Poughkeepsie, NY. We’ll be joined by friends Sleep Bellum Sonno, Abel, Winter Wars, Winterlong, and Endure. This show is already near 100% sold out and will most likely be the only time we perform the album in its entirety. There are a lot of surprises in store for that night and we will be very excited to see you all there. A pre-order for the album and other goodies will be up shortly.

It’s Going To Be A Nice Day

It’s been over three years since we recorded When The Ceiling Meets The Floor, and countless things have changed. So many people have come and so many people have gone. We’ve all lost some things we swore we couldn’t live without, and despite the hardships, found new things to cherish. We knew what we wanted as band back then, but we fumbled to find it. Matching our sound to the picture in our head took some time and refining. It wasn’t done on our own either. We are blessed to be surrounded by people who care about art…and even more, care about us. Too often this feels like a selfish pursuit; So many hands are in it, and only four of us get the return. We do want to thank you all for being so patient throughout this process. We have put everything into making this record something we’re proud of, and to have rushed it, at any point, would have been unfair to us and you.

‘Dear Ronnie’ was one of the first songs we wrote for the new album, and although it’s not “so new” to us and some of you, it still felt like a good first release. The video for ‘Dear Ronnie’ was shot in October at The World Peace Prayer Society in Amenia, NY, by Kevin Irish & Enrique Veliz from BSP Video. They’ve done an amazing job.

Here are the lyrics to ‘Dear Ronnie’:

We haven’t updated all of you on what we’ve been up to, so here is what the Summer has been like:

As many of you know, we lost our drummer in the beginning of the Summer. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the 30-day tour we had planned. We were unable to find a fill-in on such short notice, so we ended up playing a few dates as a 3 piece. We were surprised at how well it ended up working out. Performing without a drummer made us look at our songs in an entirely different way. It was an incredibly hard situation, but we were lucky to walk away with some new insight about our music.

Since we were unable to tour, we have spent all of our time mixing and putting the final touches on our album. All of the extra time really afforded us the opportunity to make sure that the final product was exactly what we intended it to be. We are nearing the final stages of mixing, and I could not be more proud with what we have accomplished. These 12 songs have meant a lot to us since we began writing them and to be able to hear them completed has been awesome. We are still planning on releasing ‘It’s Going To Be A Nice Day‘ this fall, along with our first video for the single. In the meantime, we would like to share the track list with you all:

Spring For Sound

Tonight, we had the absolute pleasure of performing at the Spring For Sound Fest in our hometown Millerton, NY. When we first heard that we were one of 13 bands scheduled to perform over an 8 hour period, we were skeptical as to how that was going to be pulled off. I can honestly say that we have never been a part of such a smoothly run festival nor have we seen local, unsigned bands treated so nicely. There was amazing food donated from the local restaurants and the staff was great. We’d like to thank Mimi Ramos Harney and Kristen Panzer along with everyone else for organizing such a great event. It was an honor to play with such amazing bands and to meet so many great people. The Millerton music scene is alive and it is GOOD.

Hello everyone! We hope that you all have been enjoying the beginning of the summer. We have quite a bit to update you on.

We have recently accepted an endorsement offer from Ogden Clothing. We began speaking to them through emails and were finally able to meet Chris and the rest of the guys at this year’s Bamboozle Fest. Besides their amazing clothing, one thing that really stood out was their emphasis on creativity and art. They are a company that works with not only bands, but artists and surfers as well. In studio related news, we have just finished tracking vocals! We are very excited to be at this point. We began recording ‘It’s Going To Be A Nice Day’ at the end of January and there has been countless hours and work put into it. Everything is sounding great and we could not be more proud. Mixing should begin in the next week or so. I know, I know- we’ve been taking our sweet time with this album, but I really feel that we put together something that you will all enjoy. From writing to recording, all of our effort has gone into creating the most bad-ass album that the four of us were capable of. We will be releasing some studio footage in the coming weeks followed by our first music video I am so excited about everything, I wish we could release it all tomorrow….but you will have to wait just a little longer

Finally, we are in the midst of booking for the rest of the Summer. We are hoping to hit as many places and see as many friendly faces as possible. Tyler has been hard at work pulling together these dates for us. New Album Info

We are excited to officially announce the title of our upcoming album. If you attended Bamboozle this year, you may have seen it on some of our fliers. We decided on the name when we first began writing for this record. It was a title that stuck out early on for us and once we were set on it, it seemed to work its way into the music. The name of the album is: It’s Going To Be A Nice Day. We are currently tracking vocals. Drums, bass, guitars, various sounds, etc. have all been completed. We are planning for a late Summer/early Fall release. We’ll be posting more information on the websites below:
